We all had our
crushes in school, if not all, most of them had. Out of that around 98% of them
remain just the memories and only the fortunate 2% or maybe 1% get to marry
their first love. Fact remains that many of the stories remain as distant memory of the attraction. I just came across this rather cute story of infatuation at the age of adolescence. Yes, it couldn't be completed but still completed. And the credit
of the success goes to our very own WhatsApp and the group created where we meet and chat. Let's get started with the story. (Names have been changed to protect identity 😋 though the people in question here would know
once they read it)
It
all started in 9th standard when classes were re-shuffled as usual. A shy, introvert boy Samir approached his new class on 2nd floor. He sat
on the 3rd bench which his class teacher told him to acquire. As he turned around to see the faces in the class, his eyes stuck on a beautiful smile.
An angelic smile it was. She was the prettiest face he ever came across. His
heart stuck on her. Being an introvert, he never could muster courage to
confess his feelings for her. Moreover, the girl – Dimple, a bong beauty, was with the group
who were always protective about her. Approaching her directly would have been suicidal. Somehow he gathered courage and penned a Love letter which unfortunately never reached her. All thanks to her Gang.
Everyday seeing
the pretty face made his day and his attendance improved. He got annoyed when she remained absent. It was as if he came to school only for her. Samir did tell his close pals about his growing fondness for Dimple. Even though he wanted to keep it a secret, the grapevine
spread throughout, only Dimple remained obscure about his feelings for her. Both the remaining Years at school went by with nothing concrete. Everybody separated with different vocations for their respective careers. Leaving school was the hardest
thing at that time and probably is for everyone.
They both have
now settled with their respective life partners, happy and settled with kids. All the while, Dimple was unaware about Samir’s fondness for her. On the other hand, Samir still harboured
feelings for her.
With advancement
of technology, WhatsApp gained popularity and almost everybody joined the
messaging platform. Samir too joined. School group was formed, and he was
added. While he was happy to reconnect with his batchmates, he wanted Dimple
too to be a part of the group. He asked the batchmates if anybody is in touch with
her or if someone holds a pic of her love. The stars weren’t favouring him. He was
always a silent spectator of the group. He waited for her to join for few months but no luck. After a while disheartened he left the group. Batchmates
added him on his birthday. Post wishes he used to exit the group. Dimple was
not to be seen on any of the social platforms.
Life was going
on as usual. But maybe God wanted him to smile. After a wait of almost 4 years,
Dimple appeared on facebook and it didn’t take long for her to re-connect to
the school group and join in the whatsapp bandwagon. Without wasting any time,
admin of the group added Samir back knowing very well that this time he would not leave the group. Group became very active post Dimple and Samir
joining. Both greeted each other.
Dimple was too
excited to catch up with school cronies and sought her memories of people from
school time. Was it a God given opportunity? Samir immediately grabbed the same
and told her of his memories about her. He described the moment he first saw
her and her smile which melted his heart. Because the entire group was aware of
Samir’s ailing heart, they intervened and ultimately Dimple became aware of
what Samir harboured for her. The entire episode can be termed as Cute with almost entire batch stealing time from their schedules and messaging in their favor. Dimple
took everything in good spirit. After all, it was a past. Samir on the other
hand was feeling relieved. Finally, he could convey his true feelings to the
girl who always held a special place in his heart.
He would sleep
peacefully tonight. It’s rightly said all’s well that ends well. Well, we
cannot really call it an end but a sweet ending to the incomplete love story.
