Quest of Sparrows - Kartik Sharma

I'd read good reviews on this book so decided to buy it from kindle, again at an unbelievable price of Rs. 9. This way it doesn't pinch even if you dislike the book which was the case in this book. The other reviews stated it's a modern day take on spirituality.

The book is a narrative from perspective of 3 individuals. Nikhil - a distraught person whose life is in a mess and who decides to embark a spiritual road trip on foot with swami Partibhan to understand life. Sanjeev - a private detective who feels Swami Partibhan is a fraud and wishes to bust him by accompanying on the journey from Mumbai to Ganpatipule. Swami Partibhan narrative is interesting as he was an atheist initially but fills his father's space after he takes samadhi and becomes a saint.

It's a very slow paced book and one may tend to lose patience at times. The places mentioned are erroneous and person who's aware of the route and in Mumbai easily finds geographical mistakes. I wouldn't recommend this book if one is really wishing to read about spirituality when great books are available. Teachings in the book are just like any others. Nothing new here.

My rating for this book is 3/5. But one may wish to skip this one.
