My Take:

I would like to thank booktasters and the author for providing me with a copy for reading and reviewing. After reading a heavy book I wanted something light to read and thought love story would be an apt choice. However I was proved wrong as this book is loaded with emotions.

The tragedy that protagonist goes through is beautifully narrated and depicted. You certainly empathise with the sorrow protagonist goes through. It is very difficult to lose a loved one and that’s exactly what’s been showcased.

The book is a medium paced book with lots of detailing to descriptions. The relationship shared between the protagonists is cute and adorable. Character of Cassidy is strong and independent. However, some more depth to the characters would have been worthwhile.

An interesting aspect of the book is that it has no antagonist and only the situations arising brings the tragedy. The story is free flowing as if reading a biography of a person. I could also spot some mistakes which could have been rectified if edited properly. The character of Reeve could have been edited out as it does nothing to further the story.

Overall a nice book if you are in a mood to read a tragic love story. I would definitely be picking up the sequel of this book to know what happens in the life of Cassidy.
