My Take:
I wanted to start the new year with a light reading and Preeti Shenoys books provide just that. The book was available on prime reading so I immediately downloaded it. As mentioned in previous posts, this author’s stories are light reads and the stories are very realistic, so is the case with this one as well.
The story is simple and fast paced. The story is narrated in first person from 3 characters perspective viz, Rishabh, Anjali and Shruti. The feelings and thoughts of each of the characters is aptly narrated wherein reader gets to empathise with them.
The story depicts the importance of closure of relationship by tying all the lose ends so that one can move ahead in life. While all other characters were relevant to the storyline I couldn’t figure out Dipikas role in the story. It could have been omitted while editing. However, she is not mentioned in the Epilogue.
Overall an engrossing story and very realistic story line. Would recommend to all those who wish to have a light reading.
