The Break-up Clinic - Dr. Govind Sharma IAS (Retd)

I was offered this book by the author for review. The book deals with a social stigma of mental health and depression which is considered as a taboo. Mental health is often ignored by people but it is of utmost importance for well-being of a person. I thank the author for offering me this great book.

The book is in the form of a novel narrating stories of 4 people who have dealth with depression due to heart break which is the most common reason of depression in today's era. The book also details on their pyschoanalysis sessions and how a person can cope with it.

The chapters are short and fast paced. Stories and the patients psychoanalysis sessions are very intriguing offering insight of actual things that go on in one's mind and how can one come out of it. The book makes regular reference to Freud who was an Austrian neurologist and the founder of psychoanalysis.

The book is a very well researched one and the author is very well read on the subject. Author has done a great job of coming out with this book and one can only feel that Break-up clinics becomes a reality.

A recommended read for the teenagers or people dealing with depression. My rating  4.5/5
